She has been dubbed the funniest woman on Instagram and looking at Celeste Barber’s page, it’s no wonder why.
Boasting over 5 million followers, the comedian has caught the attention of celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon and Cindy Crawford thanks to her hilarious imitations of flawless celebrity snaps.
Now the the funny mum of two has sat down with InStyle Australia to reveal what she teaches her kids about the wild world of social media.
“Social media only has the power that you give it,” she said. “That, or I just won’t give them a phone, ever!”
“The scary part is a lot of things are painted to be really positive, but they [have] a really dark message…it’s so warped and can f*** with you so easily.”
Barber also revealed that it is the darkness that surrounds social media that has led her to upload more images that poke fun at a world of posts about detox teas and influencers looking over-the-top glamorous for the school run.
“I’ve got to give people a pep up, to realise that it’s not true and to have a laugh—I sometimes feel that responsibility,” she added.
