Roya biographer Andrew Morton (who wrote Diana: Her True Story - In Her Own Words) is the author of Meghan: A Hollywood Princess, and publishes intimate details about their fairytale romance.
He describes their first date as an 'intoxicating meeting.'
'They were mesmerised by one another, Harry enthralled by her beauty, sophistication and perceptiveness,' adding, 'She understood him as a man, not a title. As he subsequently confessed, he realised that he would have to up his game.'
Prior to their meeting, Morton claims that Meghan asked her friends if Harry was 'kind and nice' before their date on July 1, 2016.
However after their successful first date, the now Duchess of Sussex thought she may have blown her chance.
'As she relived that fateful evening in her mind, she perhaps wondered if she had been too eager to accept his invitation to meet again the following day,' Morton writes.
The couple went on to have multiple dates over the next few days, before Meghan returned to Toronto.
From then, their relationship blossomed - yet the pair managed to keep their romance under wraps for the first six months.
Their engagement was announced via an official statement in Nov. 2017.
The most recent addition to their household was a black Labrador retriever, who is reportedly named 'Oz'.
