The radio and TV star admitted he once caused Hamish to suffer a broken nose at the hands of a professional boxer when the pair were filming their travel show in Northern Ireland.
“I put Hamish in a boxing match in Ireland, in Dublin, no sorry… in Belfast… and the guy got in and I was like, ‘Oh no, Hamish is gonna die…’” he said of a time the pair were filming their travel show.
“I think the guy was being quite, you know, soft on him early, and a few stomach punches, etc., and then Hame got him with one, and this guy turned around and just went, ‘Alright, it’s on now’, and broke Hamish’s nose.
“He just gave him a nice little neat jab, and he cracked the top of Hamish’s nose,” he explained.
With the duo set to start filming their new travel show, Hamish & Andy’s “Perfect” Holiday, 37-year-old Andy says he’s surprised Hamish got clearance from his wife, Zoë Foster Blake, to film another series after their previous risky antics.
“We’re going on a new travel show that I just can’t believe Hame got clearance for, from his partner…
“Zoë’s obviously clearly sick of him and has given me a list of activities for him to do,” he scoffed.
But Andy is adamant that he’ll get the blame for any of the more awkward adventures he sets Hamish up for.
“The great thing about that, for Hamish and his situation with his wife, is he can come home and go ‘I didn’t know I was going to do that.’ It was Andy’s fault.
“So yeah, I probably won’t be allowed back in the house or have any conversations with Zoë,” he confessed.
