Activist and writer Brittany Packnett felt compelled to alert her Twitter followers after reading a label on a new bra that indicated the correct way to put it on.
Rather than fastening the hooks at the front and swivelling it round, the instructions ordered the wearer to put on the bra and then reach behind you to close it on the loosest fastening.
While many people fasten their bra facing to the front and then swivel it round and pull it up over your breasts, the label said it should go on over the breasts.
You then should 'gather' or tuck each one into the cups to make sure you feel comfortable and supported.
Finally, the straps should be tightened every other month, according to San Francisco-based lingerie brand ThirdLove.
Not surprisingly, the women of Twitter were quick to respond.
At first she'd Brittany scoffed at the instructions, but then decided to try out the loosest clasp on her new bra and do the breast placement.
She insisted that it wasn't any kind of ad for the brand but was genuinely impressed.
'I’m going to give it a full day test, but this far, this bra is everything and I can hardly feel it,' she said.
It's not the first time that ThirdLove has revolutionised the process of finding underwear.
Last year the retailer revealed that there are seven different types of breasts, including asymmetric and bell shaped.
