Amanda Jenner, a mother-of-three, appeared on the popular morning program to debate the hot topic.
Jenner explained that potty training is still a 'parenting taboo' but that it is one of the most prevalent issues for parents across the globe.
However, Nilufer Atik, a mother-of-one, also appeared on the morning program. Atik argued that couples who pay someone to potty train their children are 'neglectful' and 'disgusting'.
There were an influx of viewers who couldn't help but agree with Atik, and many took to Twitter to share their views.
One wrote, 'Sorry if you have no time to potty train your child...don't have kids!'
'When you have a child you make a commitment to teach your child, don't be lazy, spend time potty training your own children,' another interjected.
However, Jenner, who regularly helps parents potty train their children claims that the parents are not being lazy but have simply 'tried everything else.'
'They're not being lazy, they've tried everything and they don't want their child to go to school in a nappy,' Jenner explains.
While Atik claimed she had 'no issue' with Amanda and agreed that some parents do need help, she argued that the parents who posted the online advert were 'neglectful'.
She said: 'It is the parents' responsibility and job to potty train their child.'
Atik finished by asserting, 'Being a good parent is not just loving your child, and providing for them financially, being a good parent is about teaching that child fundamental life skills like going to the toilet.'
