The budding sports enthusiast also opened up about her tragic past, admitting she doesn’t have a lot of family after the death of her mother and grandmother.
Speaking to SBS' Noongar Dandjoo program, Brooke also confessed, 'I grew up in a country town in Carnarvon. I spent my childhood there up until I was about 11, when my mum unfortunately passed away - she committed suicide,' she told host Neil Coyne.
'That was a hard time, living in Carnarvon with my mum and nan, losing Mum, and then Nan actually passed away a month later.'
Brooke went onto live with her father, but life wasn’t easy.
‘Growing up was pretty complicated. [There was] a lot of drug and alcohol violence in my childhood and I had an older sister who suffered from schizophrenia,' she said.
Brooke was also a beacon of support to her brother Troy.
‘Brooke was definitely someone I had to run to when I had problems,’ he admitted.
'I went through quite a bit of depression when I was on drugs, drinking a lot, wasn't really in the right place.'
Brooke is believed to make the final four in The Bachelor while the bookies currently tip her to win.
She hasn’t been the most popular contender with the fans however with some dubbing her as ‘fake’ when she told Nick Cummins, she didn’t know who he was, despite being an avid sports fan.
‘If you love sport, how come you don't know who he is?' one tweeted.
‘I’m dying this girl on the bachelor brings in a football and says how much she loves rugby league BUT DOESN’T RECOGNISE HIM AND HE IS A PLAYER FOR AUSTRALIA’S RUGBY LEAGUE TEAM???' Said another.
