Curvy, athletic, or slim, what do men really want?
Setting out to solve this riddle once and for all, the Daily Mail conducted their own ‘study’ and the results might surprise you.
Bringing in three women with different body types, a group of ten men were were fitted with eye-tracking devices.
Overall, the 'slim' model scored the lowest score gaining 29 per cent of glances. The 'athletic' model came in at second place, with 35 per cent of all glances and last but not least was Stephanie, the ‘curvy’ model, stole 39 per cent of glances.
The results come as a surprise after a 2015 study revealed men prefer thinner women.
Scientists at the University of Aberdeen claimed to have found a link between a female’s thinness and how attractive she is perceived to be.
Professor John Speakman said: 'Fitness in evolutionary terms comprises two things: survival and the ability to reproduce.
'What we wanted to investigate was the idea that when we look at someone and think they are physically attractive, are we actually making that assessment based on a hard-wired evolutionary understanding of their potential for future survival and reproductive ability?'
