"It’s different," he admits, hinting perhaps the couple don’t go the distance.
"It’s an intense experience. I would much rather scratch my face off and go live in a cave to be honest with you."
Of the experience so far, Mick says he’s found the whole experience overwhelming.
"It did take some convincing. I was genuinely about to pull the pin but my parents told me it might be a good opportunity for me so I gave it a crack," he says.
"A couple of things that really got me going was having camera’s in your face all the time, that was a bit 'how ya going' for me."
In fact, the farmer from Gympie in Queensland says he’s never wanted to get married before.
"I consider marriage a complete and utter waste of money," he explains to New Idea.
"I’d prefer to hire someone’s house and get on it. People are spending like $30-40,000 on a wedding, it’s the stupidest thing ever."
