Before visiting the site of his mother's famous walk, Harry made his way through a partially cleared minefield and detonated an anti-personnel mine in a controlled explosion near the town of Dirico.
Later, in Huambo, the Duke of Sussex looked every bit his mother's son as he walked along a street that had once been the minefield where his mother had been famously pictured, kitted out in protective gear.
The royal has since taken to social media to discuss the emotions he felt on the day.
“It’s incredibly emotional to follow in the footsteps of my mother,” said Harry.

He continued: “If 20 years ago she hadn’t done what she did, this would still be a minefield. To see this as a thriving community is amazing”.
Though many of the mines have been cleared in the 22 years since Di had been there, Harry's visit was also intended to highlight the work that still remains to be done.
