The Gold Logie winner's stunning contemporary performance was a visual representation of his life with Connie before she sadly passed away in 2017 following a battle with cancer.
After the routine, the actor was visibly choked up and could only manage to say: "All the feelings. Can you feel it?"
Audience and judges were evidently touched by the moving tribute, with host Amanda Keller saying: "It affected everybody."
Speaking before the dance, Sam remembered his sibling by describing how "she left an extraordinary legacy for this country".
"The biggest thing she taught me is that now is awesome and to insist on joy."
Social media was awash with messages of love and support for the star, with one writing: "You are everything because of what you two went through together. Your love for your beautiful sister shines through you Samuel Johnson."
"All I could say for 10 minutes after your dance was 'bloody hell'," another penned on Instagram followed by a stream of pink heart emojis.
"Your dancing on DWTS has been so good to watch Sam but this week you to it to another level.. What an inspiration you are for the memory and legacy of your beautiful late sister. Thank you for such a raw, emotional and powerful performance."
