NSW Police reported this morning that the masked gunman who opened fire on a man standing in a driveway before fleeing in a getaway car is still on the run more than three months after the incident.
It was just before 2am on January 21 when the 33-year-old male victim was shot on the drive-way of a Condell Park home. The balaclava-clad criminal fled in a nearby white Toyota Corolla hatch following the horrific incident.
According to police records, the car was last seen traveling towards Jocarm Avenue with no further traces. The victim however was treated at Bankstown Hospital for two gunshot puncture wounds and has since been released from hospital.
Detectives from the State Crime Command's Criminal Groups Squad have released CCTV footage of the botched assassination attempt, urging anyone who might have details to come forward.
