Fire department officials who rushed to the scene confirmed that two people had died, and 15 were seriously injured.
According to park officials, the ride was just four years old and was regularly maintained.
Director Ghanshyam Patel said in a statement: “All our equipment as well as maintenance certificates, police certification, fire NOC and other documents are in order.
We have had continuous inspection and clearance from the authorities for the past four years and we have submitted the same to the police.”
Mr Patel was unable to explain how the ride broke.
Investigations into the accident remain ongoing.
