Michael Douglas has revealed that his friend and former co-star, Val Kilmer is suffering from cancer.
Sitting down to a Q&A with British talk show host Jonathan Ross, Michael was asked about the 1996 film The Ghost And The Darkness, in which he starred with 56-year-old Val.
‘The picture didn't turn out as well as I hoped but I had a wonderful time,’ said Michael – who beat Stage 4 oral cancer in 2013.
Val was a wonderful guy who is dealing with exactly what I had, and things don't look too good for him."
The actor added, ‘My prayers are with him. That's why you haven't heard too much from Val lately’.
Michaels revelation comes one year after Kilmer – a Christian Scientist -sparked health fears when he was pictured with a tracheostomy tube.
Val has been in and out of hospital over the past two years with throat problems, but denied on numerous occasions that cancer was the cause.
‘Thank you all for your love and support. There's a rumor I'm unwell again and in hospital which is totally untrue.'
'I was in to verify I have no tumor or infection of any kind which was verified by the very caring experts at UCLA.,’ he wrote on Facebook at the time.
