She may appear calm and serene on the surface, but following weeks of criticism for how she’s conducting herself during her pregnancy, along with a jam-packed royal schedule, Meghan Markle is said to be at breaking point, according to a new US report.
The heavily pregnant duchess has been chastised for everything; form touching her bump too much, to even faking her pregnancy! And now those close to the former actress are worried she’s pushing herself too far.
“Meghan’s had a horrible time,” a source tells Star. The public backlash against the Duchess of Sussex has got so bad that staff are said to be working around the clock to delete negative and abusive comments from Kensington Palace’s official Twitter and Instagram pages.
"Meghan comes across as strong and determined,” continues the insider.
“But it’s been extremely difficult for her, both mentally and physically – and that can’t be good for the baby.”
Star also claims that Meghan’s alleged feud with sister-in-law Kate is adding to the strain.
“They seem to be competing all the time, which makes for some very unpleasant moments at family functions,”
Adding further to Meghan’s woes is the fact that her estranged half-sister, Samantha Markle is launching a new book titled: In The Shadows Of The Duchess, set to come out around the time Meghan and Harry’s first baby is in April.
“I’m very much your sister and if you don’t like it too bad,” Samantha snarled via Twitter.
However, at least there’s one person that Meghan can always rely on, her doting husband Prince Harry.
“He’s worried about Meghan and wants her to slow down,” says the source.
“But she insists she’s fine and the baby isn’t in any danger – Meghan’s going to do things her way, no matter what anyone says.”
