An explosive new report by a US magazine today includes claims that the late Robin Williams was 'murdered', with his 2014 death 'made to look like a suicide'.
According to the Globe, the Oscar winner was murdered with ‘a knife found at the scene of his death.'
The publication alleges investigators were left 'shocked' to discover that police never checked objects at the scene for fingerprints or DNA.
‘What happens with police sometimes is things seem so obvious to them that they rush to conclusions and they don’t bother checking everything out,' private investigator Vincent Parco told the publication.
An autopsy report noted that a folding knife was found on a chair by Williams’ body after he apparently passed away from an unrelated cause.
'The non-serrated blade was three inches long. Smudge marks and suspected fingerprint ridge patterns were noted on the blade,' said the report.
At the time, police concluded that the 63-year-old star had passed by his own hand. All mainstream reports on the matter agree that this is what all the evidence clearly indicates - making the Globe allegations seem dubious at best.
However, Private homicide investigator Peter Rydyn insists to the magazine that foul play could have been involved.
Investigators also noted that Williams had put a vineyard up for sale and had stopped donating to charities, hinting at money woes, claims Globe.
Williams' estate has yet to comment on Globe's bizarre and seemingly unfounded claims.
