As she drove through the night towards South Australia, her car laden with all her worldly goods, Tziporah Malkah felt butterflies.
‘I was so keen to get to Guy, I only stopped for petrol,’ the 43-year-old says of her 10-hour drive from Melbourne. ‘I was so excited, I felt sick with nerves!’
She needn’t have worried. Equally enthusiastic, Guy was up to greet her, a bunch of roses in his hand, when she arrived at 4am.
‘I can’t tell you how happy I am to be here. It’s like a fairytale!’ she beams.
We’re at the swish beachside love shack in tiny Port Elliot, an hour south of Adelaide, where the former model has come to share her life with her ‘knight in shining armour’, Guy Vasey, 46.
It’s a giant step for the woman whose last live-in love was former fiance James Packer 19 years ago – but it’s one she felt ready to take, such are her feelings for Guy.
‘I’m still unpacking, and we haven’t yet bought furniture, but not too shabby, is it?’ she says, leading us to the balcony to gaze at the crashing waves.
Looking at the way she and Guy – a handsome bloke with piercing blue eyes and a gentle manner – gaze at each other, it’s clear they’re head over heels.
‘Need anything at the shop?’ he asks, before vanishing. Prior to our visit, Tziporah had warned us that – no offence – Guy won’t be part of this interview.
‘He has PTSD [post traumatic stress disorder] from his time in the navy, and though he’s happy for me to talk about us, being in the limelight is just not his thing.’
But, she admits, the two are already talking marriage, babies and the rest of their lives.
‘We’re in our 40s, so no need to wait too long. Besides, I’m so in love, it’s ridiculous,’ she beams, stroking Guy’s elderly cat Chet.
