It seems that along with the hashtag, a petition is also going around on change.org.
"Like Taylor Swift, Kelly Rowland appears to be completely unaware of the shocking abuse and deaths horses suffer in the racing industry. We need to inform her of the cruelty she will be endorsing and ask her to #PullASwifty," wrote one fan.
"Ask Kelly Rowland to #PullASwifty & say no to cruel horse racing!!" was another fans desperate plea.
Last night, the ABC aired an expose on the Australian racing industry, following a two-year investigation.
In the 7.30 report, the ABC claims Racing Australia has provided incorrect data when it comes to how many horses end up in the slaughterhouses, with Racing Australia's data alleging only 34 horses will be sent to an abattoir.
However, last night the national broadcaster claimed that number to be far higher, with Elio Celotto from the Coalition for the Protection of Racehorses telling the ABC that a heartwrenching 4000 racehorses had been killed in one slaughterhouse alone.
Professor Paul McGreevy - an animal welfare and behavioural scientist - told the ABC that the racing industry has no defence.
"This is a clear breach of everything the industry has told us."
The CEO of Racing NSW told the ABC that he was not aware that racehorses across the state were being sent to slaughterhouses, and would support "the full force of law" against offenders if it was occurring.
