Paul Lambert was shot and killed last week after he stabbed his tinder date 11 times and tried to set her on fire.
Now, reports obtained by the Daily Mail show Lambert had a history of violence against women.
The documents state Lambert was arrested and deported from the US after he was charged with stalking and extorting Emmy award-winning TV reporter Brittany Ann Keil, 32.
'Paul... maliciously threatened her reputation, threatened to expose her to disgrace, expose her secrets which would affect her personally and professionally, with the intention to compel Brittany to see him,' the court documents read.
'He also has attempted to extort money in exchange for no contact with her and in exchange for not following through with his malicious attempts to use his personal knowledge to ruin her life.'
Keil dated Lambert briefly until his erratic behaviour became too much for her. As well as threatening to ruin her career, he claimed he was dying of a brain tumour as way to get her to see him.
