‘Two years after the fire, Michael and I went to Tahiti and we met a little boy called Hakavai.
‘I took a photo of Michael and the original Hakavai and said to myself “If we ever have a little boy, I’m gonna call him Hakavai”.
‘That photo was the background on my phone for three years,’ Turia wrote.
‘It was a constant reminder of what my future might hold.’
It’s not the first time Turia has opened up about the choice of name.
In February, she revealed the meaning of the adorable tot’s name.
‘You can always tell when Mum’s been around,’ she wrote next to a photo of her beloved mum holding her little boy – with a flower behind his ear.
‘So nice to hear her speak in Tahitian to Hakavai (although he really needs to work on his linguistic skills,’ Turia went on.
