Aussie travellers looking to make their accommodation dollars work even harder will be stoked to hear that you can now earn Qantas Points when booking an Airbnb stay through Qantas.com.
Qantas’ 11.4 million members will be able to earn one point for every dollar they spend on an Airbnb property or room thanks to the ‘world-first’ partnership between our iconic national carrier and the innovative accommodation platform.
“The way that people around the world plan, book and experience travel is changing rapidly with the digital revolution,” said Qantas chief executive Alan Joyce.
“We know many of our customers are just as likely to arrange an Airbnb as they are to book a hotel, and we wanted to recognise and reward them for that.”
Airbnb now offers over 2.5 million accommodation listings in nearly every country around the world and it is the first time they have partnered with an airline loyalty program.
“[This] announcement highlights the rapidly growing movement towards the personalised and unique experiences available through the Airbnb community,” said Airbnb co-founder Brian Chesky.
“We’re focused on connecting people with the hospitality of locals, welcoming travellers into their communities so they can truly belong anywhere.”
