BEDFORD POST INN, WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY

WHO: RICHARD GERE

Want a good chance of seeing the star of Pretty Woman? Head an hour’s drive north from Manhattan and book into the Bedford Post Inn. Gere is part owner of this chateau featuring eight luxury rooms, two organic restaurants and a yoga studio. The rooms are cozy in an old-world fashion and feature inviting replaces and breezy terraces overlooking the wooded property. And as expected from a classy celeb, it comes with all the mod cons of a five-star hotel.

The stylish art deco Hotel Rival is the passion project of ABBA songwriter Benny Andersson. The hotel’s vision is to be welcoming and friendly with the kind of first-name hospitality that keeps people coming back. THE CLARENCE, DUBLIN, IRELAND

WHO: BONO AND THE EDGE FROM U2

It does seem like Bono and The Edge found what they were looking for when they purchased and renovated the once rundown Clarence Hotel in Dublin’s central Temple Bar District. The pair oversaw the renovation of the building into a stately, luxury hotel with an award-winning restaurant and bar. The proposed U2 Visitor Centre and Exhibition space is under construction.
