At 60, Kelly McGillis looks worlds apart from her heyday Top Gun years. Now sporting a short grey crop, she’s almost unrecognisable.
The actress won hearts playing Charlie Blackwood in the 1986 original - and previously said she'd love to return.
But, with Top Gun 2 scheduled for release in 2019, it's been confirmed that Kelly will not be reprising her role. The film will however see Tom Cruise revisit his role as Pete 'Maverick' Mitchell.
The new film will be set in a world of drone technology and fifth generation fighters along with exploring the end of the era of dogfighting.
Since the hit movie, Kelly has given up acting in Hollywood films and instead ran a bar in Key West, Florida.
Kelly also spends her time working with drug addicts and alcoholics and teaches aspiring actors.
