It’s an exciting two-day race for kayaks and small powerboats down the hazardous rapids of the Avon River, through the picturesque Swan Valley, and into the upper Swan River. On the route from Northam to Bassendean, there are family events planned. In 2019 the Avon Descent runs August 3rd and 4th, 2019.
