According to The Australian, newsreader Tom Steinfort will be moving to over to join them from June 3.
'TODAY's's hosting duo Deb Knight and Georgie Gardner will effectively become a trio,' the newspaper claimed.
'Expect to see more of Steinfort in all facets of Today from now on, breaking up what viewers perceive to be a competitive dynamic between Gardner and Knight.'
Steve Jacobs is also a reported winner in the reshuffle, with the weather man expected to take on more screen time and a juicier role.
An anonymous Channel Nine source told the publication that viewers have been resistant to the ground breaking female-led format since Karl Stefanovic departed.
'Viewers have had decades of a male-female combination. It takes time to change that sort of habit,' the source was quoted as saying.
New Idea today reports that executives were apparently recently considering re-signing Karl Stefanovic, but the notion was apparently abandoned.
