Get A Fringe
Okay - here's an oldie but a goodie. Get a fringe.
"Fringes are youthful, cute and are easily the most effective alternative to Botox on forehead lines," says beauty guru Sali Hughes, author of Pretty Honest (Fourth Estate).
Also, a fringe takes no longer than 10 minutes at your favourite salon (never ever attempt to cut one in yourself - it's a disaster and I speak from experience) and will give you a dramatic new and pretty look.
Pinch Your Cheeks
A trick as old as time and one that works, says Sali.
"Pinching your cheeks lightly gets blood flowing to the face, restoring a little glow and giving the skin a youthful-looking flush."
Try it and see! For those who have a moment or two - pop a dab of a cream-based blush to the cheeks as well. This will give the look staying power.
Use An Exfoliating Mask
A quality exfoliating mask will remove the dead skin cells from the surface of your skin and in as little as two to three minutes.
And you need those babies gone because sadly, they make your skin look dull and you look older (ak!) and (egads!) even more tired.
Sali recommends applying a smooth, grain-free exfoliating mask over a dry face.
"Wait for the allocated time (usually between one and five minutes) and loosen the mask with water," she says.
"Remove what remains with a wrung-out warm flannel. Follow with something moisturising like an oil or a cream."
