This Is How Much Australian Reality TV Stars Really Make
If you've ever thought about quitting your job to make it big on reality TV, maybe think again, or choose your show wisely.
The Daily Telegraph has published how much money Australian reality show cast members make, and there are pay gaps of tens of thousands of dollars.
The newspaper reported that The Bachelor contestants earn $90 a day, which means they could make up to $7500 if they make it to the end of the 12 week series.
If they're not given a rose in the first week or two, they leave with only a few hundred dollars.
On the other hand, there are rumours that the The Real Housewives of Sydney (RHOS) cast earn at least $70 000 for the whole shooting period.
The more "high-profile" housewives apparently get paid more, and each woman receives a clothing allowance.
It's a huge difference between the two reality shows, especially seeing as the RHOS stars are already well established and don't necessarily need to take time from work, whereas The Bachelor girls do.
