As he got to work on her portrait, Anh asked, “Does it annoy you to be compared to your sister all the time?”
“So annoying, Ahn!” Dannii replied, laughing.
“It is. It’s really annoying. Like, we just… we’re a tight family unit and we support each other."
Then came a heartbreaking admission.
"And yeah, I remember there was a lot of stuff written about my weight, and comparing my size and physique to my sister. And the general crux of it was, Kylie’s this perfect human being and I’m not.”
“I didn’t have a problem with it. Like, everyone else had a problem with it. I probably would have had some kind of eating disorder and some really bad mental health dealing with it. I’m just glad that I’m kind of a strong person," she admitted.
The Anh turned the conversation to Kylie's shock diagnosis in 2005.
“And then one day, Kylie gets diagnosed with breast cancer,” he said.
“She was just an absolute star,” Dannii replied.
“For the tiniest, little person, I don’t know where she pulls it up from but she was absolutely incredible with everyone with that situation and being calm about it because she had to. Her life depended on it.”
