Although it’s a different date in Australia, yesterday was Father’s Day in many parts of the world, including the US and UK, and we revelled in the adorable and touching photo and video tributes that many celebrities posted to social media in honour of their beloved dads.
But one photo is particular has stirred up a bit of a backlash online, with many social media users pointing out that it’s missing someone very important.
The photo in question is none other than the one posted by the Royal family to their official Instagram page.
The gorgeous photo featured a throwback photo of Prince Charles with young sons William and Harry, alongside a more recent photo of William cuddling adorable little Prince George, and was captioned, “Happy Father’s Day. Wishing all the fathers out there a very happy day.”
But people have been quick to point out that William is a father to two, and asked why Princess Charlotte wasn’t included in the tribute.
One Tweeter harshly suggested that Charlotte is the spare, not the heir, and perhaps that’s why she’s not included.
Whatever the case, there’s no denying that they’re both beautiful photos, and the sentiment is lovely.
Do you think the outrage over missing Princess Charlotte is over-the-top, or fair enough?
