Believe it or not,it has been 32 years since Patrick Swayze uttered those famous words,“Nobody puts Baby in a corner”, in the iconic film Dirty Dancing.
And now, eight Australian celebrities travel to the US location ofthe hit film torelive some of itsmost memorable moments and learn thatfamous finaldance scene – lift and all.

WHAT IT’S ABOUT
Ten years after Patrick Swayze’s death from pancreatic cancer, The Real Dirty Dancing payshomage to the actor and one of his most famous roles,Johnny Castle.
To raise awareness for pancreatic cancer research, eight celebritiestravel to Dirty Dancing’sreal-life location in Virginia, where they work with choreographers Todd McKenney and Kym Johnson to learn the dance moves made famous by the film.
Their goal is to be chosen to perform as Baby and Johnny in a one-off theatre performance back in Australia, where they will recreate the famous dance to ‘(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life’. But do these celebrities have the right moves?
WHO IS PARTICIPATING?
Expect plenty of laughs as actorHugh Sheridan, presenterJessica Rowe, swimmerStephanie Rice, designer and presenterJamie Durie, AFL star Jude Bolton, actor Firass Dirani, media personality Anna Heinrich and comedian Anne Edmonds put on their dancing shoes in the hopes of becoming the next Baby andJohnny.
Despite coming from a wide variety of backgrounds, the celebritiesbecame firm friends duringthe experience, Hugh Sheridan tells New Idea.
“All the boys were staying together in a cabin,” he says.“We would have fun drinks every night and invite the girls over and have a laugh.
“That was the fun part of it, the camaraderie.”

THE LOCATION
It was the summer of ’63 and Baby and her family stayed at the rustic Kellerman’s Resort in upstate New York, where they enjoyed samba classes and talent nights.

“It looks very different on the inside, which you will see,” Hugh reveals.
“I mean, some of it looks similarand some doesn’t. But the show works really hard to recreate anything that was missing, so anyone who is a fan will enjoy watching it.
“There is plenty of nostalgia.It was cool being there.”
