Queen Elizabeth II attends a number of meeting in her role as Queen of England, but it has been revealed that there is a secret meeting that she regularly pops out of the palace for.
Yep, she is believed to regularly visit Angela Kelly, her former dresser for regular catch ups.
Watch: The Queen snaps when told not to wear a crown.
“There is this very special friendship between this 66-year-old dresser and the 93-year-old monarch to such an extent people say she is almost like another sister to the queen after she lost her sister Margaret,” royal commentator Angela Mollard reveals on New Idea Royals podcast.
“Apparently, there’s a bit of a code in the palace that when the Queen is popping out its to go and have a bit of a chat with Angela.
“And apparently, they can be heard in a sitting room laughing their heads off over a cup of Darjeeling tea or at Angela’s grace and favour home at Windsor which the monarch gifted to her.

But, what do these women chat about?
“Apparently, they talk about everything and anything from grandchildren to great grandchildren, to new brands of makeup,” Angela reveals.
“They are very close, and The Queen regards her as a touchstone not just on matters of fashion but on matters of life. I mean she is her window to the world.”

Indeed, Angela admits that it is lovely for The Queen to have such a close friend in her life.
“It’s lovely that she has this close relationship particularly since she lost both her mother and her sister so close together,” adds Angela.
“To have people that she trusts must be incredibly soldering for her.”
