It’s confirmed: Kate Middleton is set to join Her Majesty the Queen on a very rare joint engagement later this month.
The royal duo will be facing the public together as the Queen opens Bush House at Kings College London on 19 March.
It will be the pair’s first outing as a duo since before the birth of the Duchess’s son Prince Louis in April last year.
Both women have a history with the institution, with the Queen its official patron and Kate visiting just last year to visit new mums at the Maurice Wohl Clinical Neuroscience Institute.

The move is being seen as a full step back into the spotlight for Kate, who of late has taken somewhat of a backseat.
Meanwhile, the Queen has been busy – wearing vibrant orange this morning, she posted her first ever image on Instagram during a visit to the Science Museum in London.
Her Royal Highness earned a round of applause as she posted the image, via an iPad on the royal Instagram account.
