And now, Darren has spoken out about the demise of his marriage. And the thing that helped him the most - working out.
Detailing his journey on his Instagram, Darren said he'd been in a very dark place.
"Ten weeks ago my life was f**ked," he wrote to his Insta fans.
"A long slow buildup of too many stressful things, finally broke me and pushed me into a very dark place. I wasn’t coping with everyday things and abusing my body with eating crap, drinking a lot and not excising.
"My stresses and thoughts controlled me and my life. After stepping off the scales back then at 122.9kg I decided I needed to do something about it to get my life back on track."

Darren continued, " I sort [sic] help for my mental health issues, I gave up chocolate (extremely hard for me to do that!!!) I gave up drinking for a while and I signed up to F45 Camberwell Junction to get some fitness back.
"Fast forward to now, I’ve completed an F45 eight week challenge and lost 16.1kg, I completely overhauled my eating by signing up to ChefGood meals for the challenge, I haven’t touched a beer and I feel I’ve taken back control and direction of my life. Signing up to F45 was the motivation I needed.
"It gave me purpose, it gave me hope. It gave me back the direction I was desperately searching for. I am forever grateful for all the team at F45 Camberwell Junction. Thank you guys!!"

Talking of the split, Dea said: "This is a very difficult time for me and my girls. We have been blindsided and left devastated by Darren’s action.
"But I'm focusing on my two daughters who are my number one priority. Please respect our privacy while we move on."
The couple starred on two seasons of The Block — 2014's Glasshouse series and then again in 2015's Triple Threat season.
