And Ryan really will be playing with all his heart, as he opened up about a health condition he's dealing with during an interview with The Daily Telegraph ahead of his appearance on the show.
Speaking to the publication he revealed he has extensive chest scarring from operations due to his Tetralogy of Fallot - a heart valve defect.
The rescue dog advocate told the paper: "It is a conversation starter!" but admits he was once embarrassed by his scars.
"When I was younger I was self-conscious about it but now I own it. I usually tell people I got it from a lawn bowls accident to try and break the ice," Ryan said.
Adding that it's a "serious condition" and he will need more surgery every 10 to 15 years.
However, he says he is "fighting fit" and suffers from no health issues as a result of his condition.
It's well known that Angie is a huge dog lover, so Ryan's appearance on The Bachelorette is sure to ruffle a few feathers amongst the guys.
And perhaps Ryan could be 'the one' Angie has been looking for.
