The 24-year-old uploaded the picture to her Instagram account as news comes that Nick has fled Australia ahead of this season’s finale.
A friend close to the 30-year-old revealed he flew to Papua New Guinea on Monday morning and to spend eight days on the Kokoda jungle trek.
'If he can deal with 30 women then I'm pretty sure walking through the jungle for eight days is going to be a walk in the park,' James Brodie, told the Manly Daily on Saturday.
James added that this trek will help clear his head.
'I think it absolutely helped his mental state and built his mental toughness to deal with all these sorts of things,' he added.
The trip is a surprise move - given that previous Bachelors have been required to be in Sydney and Melbourne the week of the finale episode.
This is to enable them to give press interviews along with the winner of the series.
Meanwhile sources told New Idea that Nick had a change of heart after the show, causing him to not only end his short-lived romance with the winner, but to get back in touch with Cass.
Turning to her in his hour of need, worried about the public backlash he is set to face for his decision to walk away from his new relationship, the lovable larrikin has been plagued with guilt and begging for forgiveness, confessing that he wants to work things out.
“Nick has really struggled emotionally since the show ended,” says a friend.
“He didn’t expect things to end that way and wasn’t really prepared to have feelings for more than one person at a time.”
And while she initially had reservations in opening her heart once again to the man who dumped her on national television, after hours of soul searching Cass has decided to give him a second chance.
“She understands why he did what he did,” says a friend. “Of course it’s not an ideal way to start a new relationship, but in all honestly she believes in fate and thinks this whole thing will just make them stronger.”
