And during a sit-down chat with radio hosts Fitzy and Wippa, the 24-year-old awkwardly laughed off the rumours.
When asked if the rumours were true the blonde student nervously answered with a chuckle: ‘Umm... there's a lot of fake news and I believe he's with the winner and having a happy life!'
But the hosts weren’t quite convinced with Sarah McGilvrey adding: 'I don't know if I believe you, look at the smile on your face!'
Ryan 'Fitzy' Fitzgerald then pressed: 'Have you seen him [Nick] since the filming stopped of The Bachelor?'
Cass then added: 'Um... yeah, well, out of respect for the winner, we'd never organise to hang out.
'But we do live on the Northern Beaches [in Sydney] and I have bumped into him, but it was just like a "Hi, bye" quick conversation.'
Michael 'Wippa' Wipfli then asked: 'So, are you single?'
'Yeah,' she said unconvincingly leaving the studio to burst into laughter.
Meanwhile sources told New Idea that Nick had a change of heart after the show, causing him to not only end his short-lived romance with the winner, but to get back in touch with Cass.
Turning to her in his hour of need, worried about the public backlash he is set to face for his decision to walk away from his new relationship, the lovable larrikin has been plagued with guilt and begging for forgiveness, confessing that he wants to work things out.
“Nick has really struggled emotionally since the show ended,” says a friend.
“He didn’t expect things to end that way and wasn’t really prepared to have feelings for more than one person at a time.”
And while she initially had reservations in opening her heart once again to the man who dumped her on national television, after hours of soul-searching Cass has decided to give him a second chance.
