The French-speaking beauty was eliminated from The Bachelor in last night’s semi-final episode – a fact that she said was shocking and ‘upsetting.’
Helena described the date as one of her more romantic ones with the astrophysicist.
“The date was one of my more romantic dates with him. He was very romantic towards me kissing me and holding my hand,” Sauzier told Confidential.
It may be the reason why she still felt some shock at not receiving a rose from Matt later in the episode, despite their relationship being among the rockiest from the season.
“The minute I walked into the rose ceremony I kind of knew I was going. It was a gut feeling but it was still a shock and upsetting. You never really get closure. I’m still very much single.”

Helena admitted to having very strong feelings for Matt but said she is a “slow burner,” and suggested that her lack of openness is what cost her the rose.
“He did say he’s happy to put all that behind us but maybe at the end of the day he decided I wasn’t as open (with my feelings),” the 25-year-old told Confidential.
“I see Abbie saying she’s in love with him, I see Chelsie saying she’s falling in love with him. Whereas I’m a slow burner. But I had very strong feelings for him.”

Despite being unlucky in love, Helena said she had no regrets.
However, she also claimed that she was a lot more open than what the show portrayed.
“I regret nothing. I was a lot more open than I was shown to be,” she said. “We had quite a lengthy conversation and the way we closed things off there is a lot of love and respect.”
The finale of The Bachelor Australia airs tonight at 7:30 pm on Channel 10.
