‘I’m pumped to be visiting Canada again with the Rocky Mountaineer team!’ said Sam. ‘Over the last four years on Sunrise I have visited Canada three times, so it’s a bit of a tradition now and our viewers love being taken along for the ride.
‘Most importantly, everywhere you turn is a ready-made backdrop for Instagram, so it will be great to give back to my followers.’
Sam will travel from the charming streets of Banff, to stunning Lake Louise, before visiting a lodge in the mountains of stunning Kananaskis. Then it’s on to Vancouver for the last two days.
Sam has been quite the jet setter of late, having only recently returned from the Cook Islands. The trip hit the headlines after a raunchy exchange with host Sam Armytage during a live cross.
Sam on his last trip to Canada
‘Sam Mac, you’ve had a humdinger this morning in the C*ck Islands,’ began Samantha, before realising exactly what she had just said, quickly correcting herself by blurting, ‘Cook Islands.’
Samantha and the team then dissolved into laughter, with the spotlight turning to Sam Mac, who was standing in an outdoor shower recess at one of the tropical destination’s top resorts.
‘Well I mean I can either pretend that didn’t just happen, or I could just enjoy it,’ he cheekily replied, before crumbling into gales of laughter.
‘That actually just happened…. Hi ABC!’
The Mounties always find their man!
It remains to be seen what Sam’s beloved, his pet cat Coco, thinks of his latest absence.
According to Sam, he reserves most of the space in his heart for his one true love, his rescue Burmilla.
‘Oh, she’s the best,’ he gushes, patting the Insta-famous feline.
Let’s hope a Canadian kitty doesn’t win him over between all those stunning views on the train!
