Now, the 37-year-old beauty has admitted her various career moves have more to do with money than with true passion for entertainment.
Speaking to the Huffington Post, Monk confessed 'Pay me enough, I'll do anything.'
She added: 'Literally - I've taken my top off for money.'
After rising to fame in Australia, Sophie famously tried her luck in Hollywood and moved to Los Angeles in 2002 after her pop group Bardot broke-up.
Within a few years, she picked up several high-profile film and television roles - and also earned herself a reputation for her incredibly racy performances.
She parodied the infamous Carl's Jr. adverts in 2006 comedy film Date Movie, performing a bizarre striptease while washing a car, drinking milk and using a drill.
During a cameo in TV series Entourage in 2007, she flaunted her curves in a bikini during a poolside scene - before having steamy sex with Adrian Grenier's character.
Sophie also starred alongside fellow Australian actor Simon Baker in dark comedy Sex And Death 101 that same year, appearing fully naked on-screen.
In addition to Sophie's film career, she has also posed for countless magazines - including Ralph and FHM Australia.
She also appeared fully nude in Playboy magazine, shortly before making the decision to return to Australia permanently after 10 years in LA.
More recently, Monk has been focusing on finding love as this years Bachelorette - and has been enjoying her new found romance with winner Stu Laundy.
