Even before going public with their romance after the grand final of The Bachelorette, the loved-up duo made no secret of their plans to start a family together straight away.
'I told him I want a baby and to get married,' the 37-year-old revealed to Jackie O on national radio last month.
And now New Idea can finally reveal Sophie and $500 million pub heir Stu, 44, are hoping to fall pregnant soon.
According to the source, the former singer, and Stu, a father-of-four, have their fingers crossed for a baby in the near future.
'They couldn't be happier with the way it's turned out,' a friend tells New Idea. 'Stu has been so attentive and extra protective over Soph and she is enjoying seeing his softer side.'
It's likely the couple will need the help of IVF after Stu's confession he had undergone a vasectomy after fathering four children of his own.
A devoted father himself, Stu had no hesitation in starting the process with one of the world's top fertility specialists - even hinting at the process in a cryptic Instagram post.
