As Sophie Monk and Stu Laundy bask in their post-Bachelorette love glow, the newly public couple open up about their plans to start a family.
“I would love to (have kids with Laundy),” Sophie told The Daily Telegraph. Laundy, 44, says the feeling is mutual, despite his vasectomy!
“It can be reversed but before you have an operation like that, you can plan ahead if you’re half smart and I did,” the publican worth $500 million said.
“I can have as many kids as I want regardless of how successful the reverse is. I would love to have more kids. To be honest, I think kids make the world go round.”
Sophie says she knew the 44-year-old was the one instantly, despite the other 22 men competing for her affection.
“I knew the chemistry was there straight away but at the same time I wanted to go with my head rather than my heart — I just couldn’t help it at the end,” the former Bardot singer said.
The couple plan to divide their time between Sophie’s home on the Gold Coast and Stu’s residence in Sydney – where his four daughters also live and attend school. “A base on the Gold Coast and a base in Sydney doesn’t seem that unrealistic,” Laundy said. “I have children though and I will always be around my kids. We are both mobile.”
When Stu and Sophie stopped by the Kyle and Jackie O Show, the couple confirmed that while Soph hasn't met the kids yet, it's certainly on the cards. A caller asked Sophie, why she chose Laundy when on paper he's all the things she said she didn't want?
"I think people, when I say I want normal expect me to be with a tradie –and I would have– but you have to be with whoever you have chemistry with and he is normal. He's not in my world of acting and in the industry," responded Monk.
