It’s the latest slow cooker trend sweeping Australia that’s surprising even the most experienced slow cooker fans!
While many seasoned cooks say that a wok or large frypan is the best and most traditional way to whip up the Asian classic, slow cooker fans say it’s even ‘lighter and fluffier’ when cooked in their trusty appliance.
Sharing the recipe on the awesome Slow Cooker Recipe & Tips Facebook group, one mum said she was surprised it worked out so well.
She writes: 'I must admit I was a little cautious to try fried rice in the [slow cooker] ... My stove top fried rice is famous 🤣
‘But.... Wowsers!! This one is actually lighter and fluffier than mine and I used the same rice as always!’
Many of the group’s followers also sang the praises of slow cooker fried rice.
‘Tried fried rice in my SC tonight - best I’ve ever had,’ said one. Added another: ‘Whoever came up with this is a genius, better than any takeaway.’
