Smooth, clear, bright skin that glows with good health is always in fashion. But in the new year we will be narrowing our skincare focus and achieving our perfect complexion goals with two hot new skincare trends. They are (drumroll please) the use of products that contain the natural ingredient witch hazel and swapping out our physical (and occasionally harsh) exfoliators for those that come in liquid form.
Witch hazel has been used to keep skin clear and lovely for centuries. The reason? It works. Big beauty companies are onto that fact and have started incorporating these natural wonder into their skincare releases. Good timing too - according to Pinterest, searches for witch hazel are up a staggering 305 per cent.
Like to give it a try? We recommend Thursday Plantation Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Toner, $9.99 and T.N Dickinsons Witch Hazel Toner, $6.60.
According to Pinterest research, we're also dead excited about liquid exfoliators these days too and our interest is only increasing. The image-sharing platform reports that searches relating to to this innovative type of skincare are up by almost 60 per cent - a dramatic jump if ever there was one.
Liquid exfoliators work every bit as well as the physical kind (and by that we mean scrubs etc that contain small beads or seeds etc) but are less likely to irritate or inflame.
Great choices include Perricone MD Pre:Empt Series Exfoliating Pore Refiner, $66, Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% Salicylic Acid Liquid Exfoliator, $37 and Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel, $66.
