Change the furniture
Take a good look at the furniture and decide what you really need and what you don’t. That favourite desk you never use might work better in another area of the house or perhaps there’s a sunny window just perfect for a spare comfy chair as a Sunday morning reading spot.
Declutter
Don’t be afraid to declutter, bedside tables can become a real mess and keeping them clean and free of unnecessary items will make your bedroom look a whole lot better. Make sure you have the right amount of storage so you can quickly tidy your room without too much effort and get into the habit of learning that everything has its place.
Add some art
Rearranging the art on the walls of your home can reinvigorate your environment and, if you haven’t already, bring some pieces in to the bedroom. Or get creative and make your own artwork. This goes for indoor plants, ornaments and floor rugs, bringing in some pieces from other parts of the house can help make your bedroom look a million bucks.
Get the light just right
Light is very important in the bedroom, it's nice to be able to have more subtle lighting before bedtime. Bring in some lamps or hang pendants and get the mood just how like it. If you like to read before bed, make sure you have a good source of light for reading such as a reading lamp on your bedside table.
