Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner has piled on 22kg as she struggles to cope with her family’s escalating woes, according to a US report.
‘She’s been eating her feelings for months, but the overeating is only making her problems worse. It’s a vicious cycle,” a source tells US magazine Life & Style.
Among her growing list of fires to put out include her ex-husband Caitlyn Jenner’s planned tell-all, which threatens to reveal Kris’s darkest secrets.
The 61-year-old ‘mumager’ is also still coming to terms with her daughter’s terrifying robbery ordeal in Paris in October last year.
‘I can’t talk about it anymore,’ she declared, bursting into tears during an interview with E!.
‘Every time she thinks about what could have happened she can’t stop crying,’ says a source. ‘She was stress-eating and drinking a lot after the incident and everyone was really worried about her.’
Add this to her daughter Kourtney’s relationship woes with her sex-addicted ex Scott Disick and her son Rob splitting from Blac Chyna mere months after the birth of their daughter Dream, and Kris is a recipe for an emotional breakdown.
According to author of the A-List Diet, Dr Fred Pescatore, Kris’s weight gain in recent months ‘isn’t healthy’.
‘She looks like she’s gone from 140 pounds [63kg] to 190 [86kg],’ he says.
And for a woman who manages the careers of her six children and is used to being in control, Kris is horrified at the climbing number on the scales.
‘She’s suffering from bouts of anxiety and drinks wine to calm her nerves. Other times, she’ll eat without thinking,’ says a source. ‘Then she regrets it. She throws the food containers in the outside trash so no one can see the evidence. She doesn’t want her kids to mock her.’
