The heartbreaking first look at the Heath Ledger documentary has arrived, and it will truly give you chills.
The trailer for the Spike TV flick I Am Heath Ledger - which was released yesterday on what would have been the star's 38th birthday - gives insight to his life as told by those closest to him, including the shock claim made by filmmaker Matt Amatu that he "wanted fame and when he got it, didn't want it anymore."
The documentary will feature never-before-seen home video of the actor that showcases his love of being behind the camera and suggests the direction his career could have taken had his life been longer.
"He was always a director," the father-of-one's childhood friend Trevor DiCarlo reveals. "Acting was just a way to get there."
I Am Heath Ledger will debut at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 23 before premiering on Spike TV on May 17.
