According to Us Weekly, the couple split up after Scott’s cheating forced Sofia’s father, Lionel Richie to intervene.

The legendary musician is then reported to have said 'he is going to cut [Sofia] off and write her out of his will if she continues her relationship with Scott as he thinks he’s extremely toxic for her.'
