The nod was noted as Fergie was not invited to the royal wedding of Princess Diana and Prince Charles' eldest son Prince William to Kate Middleton in April, 2011.
Since then, the flame haired Duchess has attended a string of royal events, including her own daughter Princess Eugenie's wedding to Jack Brooksbank last October, the preview of Trooping the Colour in May and Royal Ascot in June where she chatted with the Queen in the Royal Box.
Fergie also went on holiday to Bahrain with the Duke of York, their eldest daughter Princess Beatrice and her new boyfriend Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in April, fueling speculation that the Duke and his ex-wife are more than good friends.
On Friday night, the Duchess stepped out in the upscale London borough of Mayfair and set tongues wagging by wearing a matching necklace, bracelet and earrings - part of the famous York Diamond Demi-Parure - which were gifted to her by the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh on her wedding day to Prince Andrew in 1986.
The 'York Diamond Demi-Parure' is a set bought by Her Majesty at famed London jeweller Garrard, along with the York Tiara.
Buckingham Palace has thus far declined to comment on remarriage rumours regarding the Yorks, but sources say "Andrew is doing everything he can to bring Fergie back into the royal fold."
Since the birth of Prince William and Kate Middleton's third child Prince Louis last April, Fergie and Prince Andrew no longer need the Queen's permission to wed now that the Duke is seventh in line to the throne, per the Royal Marriages Act of 1772.
Another royal wedding before the year is out, perhaps?!
