"We work in unity and Andrew and I are focused on being good parents together. We are bigger than friends," Fergie told HELLO! magazine.
"We learn from each other, support each other and understand it's about communication, compromise and compassion."
The revealing interview comes after Sarah, Duchess of York was seen mingling with other members of the royal family - including Kate Middleton and Prince William - at Royal Ascot last week, as well as their 'more than friends' display at the royal wedding of Lady Gabriella Windsor in May.
Recently, prominent journalist Dan Wootton has claimed that Sarah and the Duke of York are 'friends with benefits', telling ITV's Lorraine:
“They are at the moment in a relationship described as 'friends with benefits'."
Dan continued that despite Fergie's ex-father-in-law once disapproving of the match, things seem to have settled down enough for this fairytale romance to end in the couple remarrying.
"The big point of interest was what would Prince Philip think about this? He was very angry with her back in the nineties. But he's fine, he doesn't care, he's not bothered about it.”
