Samuel Johnson is now a household name in Australia and it's not just for his Logie-winning role!
The actor who has been an active advocate for breast cancer charities following his sister Connie's diagnosis has just made a heart-wrenching confession, admitting that he was worried about speaking about his sister's illness in public.
Speaking to Confidential, Johnson said: “I’ve resisted this whole going public with Connie’s illness thing and I never wanted a bar of it.”
"Who wants to air their dirty laundry in public? It didn’t put me in a very good position ’cause it forced me to market my sister’s illness, which feels wrong,” he added.
While the Molly actor and his sister Connie have had a difficult journey, the family have raised over $6 million for cancer research through their Love Your Sister charity.
Connie was first diagnosed with breast cancer 7 years ago.
