Appearing in the recording studio with the hugely popular group this morning, Sam displayed his talents by busting out two of his compositions, Sam The Weatherman (Sample lyric: “My name’s Sam, I’m the weather man / My name’s Sam, I’m the weather man”), and the rather catchy and decidedly subversive, Half Man, Half Cat.
Choice lyrics include: “Growing up as a young boy, I was trying to find my place, took a look in the mirror, there were whiskers on my face”, and “I would sleep 20 hours under the doona, my parents were confused when we ran out of tuna.”
The songs were such a success that Blue Wiggle Anthony Field asked the star to join the band on stage for an upcoming gig.
“It’s going be Hollywood, we’re going to put every one of the cast in a cat suit,” he promised.
Sunrise host David Koch promised to be there, saying “It’s going to be the concert I take my kids to.”
The kitty tune seems to be a homage to Sam’s relationship with rescue cat Coco, who is the most important lady in his life.
According to Sam, he reserves most of the space in his heart for the Burmilla pussy.
“Oh, she’s the best,” he gushes of the Insta-famous feline.
